Maya Jasanoff receives 2017 Windham Campbell Prize in Nonfiction

The Nonfiction Windham Campbell Prize was awarded to Maya Jasanoff for her “brilliant historical writing [which] brings to life forgotten worlds and characters in richly textured narratives.”

Jasanoff is the Coolidge Professor of History at Harvard College and author of Liberty’s Exiles and Edge of Empire.

The Windham-Campbell prizes are global English-language awards that call attention to literary achievement and provide prizewinners with an unrestricted grant of $165,000.
